Loddon fulfills appetite for Broads Awards 2010

Go on Loddon, puff your chests out and feel even more proud… local businesses have just won two Broads Awards.

And clearly we cannot grumble about not having anywhere to get a decent bite to eat, Lim’s (Best Chippy) and Rosie Lee’s (Best Cafe) were the Loddon eateries that were celebrated in 2010’s awards.

The annual Broads Awards were set up in 2008 and nominate Broadland businesses to recieve an award recognising those who make a difference to visitors to the area. Members of www.thenorfolkbroads.org, a forum for boatowners and holidaymakers, voted throughout September for their favourite places to eat, drink, and visit, culminating in an awards ceremony at the Bridge Inn in Acle on Saturday.

Loddon has a good track record in these awards; Lim’s has won Best Chippy every year since 2008, whilst Rosie Lee’s defends the title of Best Cafe after winning the award in 2009.

All in all, well done Loddon and a hearty congratulations from The Loddon Eye to Lim’s and Rosie Lee’s.
