Invictus (Thursday 18th November)

Loddon Community Cinema aims to bring ‘accessible and affordable screenings of films to the community of Loddon…’ and on Thursday they will be holding their next screening – Invictus (12A).

Invictus is the inspiring true story about the teaming up of Nelson Mandela and the captain of South Africa’s rugby team who work to unite their country, repairing racial and economic divisions created by apartheid. Invictus follows the historic 1995 Rugby World Cup Championship run of South Africa as Mandela rallies using the universal language of sport. Released February of this year, Invictus stars Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon and was nominated for two Oscars. You can read more about Invictus here, and view the trailer here.

Loddon Community Cinema, running in conjunction with Creative Arts East, will show Invictus in The Lecture Hall from 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm). Prices are as follows:
Adults – £4
Members – £3
Under 16’s – £2
